Happy Mother’s Day Part 2

Do you remember this post? This would be the second part to it.

I’ve added the master meshes from that post that you’ll need in order for the stone and glass vases to show up. However, if you haven’t downloaded the original set, I suggest you do so, as it also has recolours for the vases and stone pots.

Some of the files are labeled with ‘master-slave’, essentially this means that that file is the master for the plant and slaved to the master stone or vase file.
I’m sorry for the confusion, but it should be easier to figure it out once you have them in game.

For the curses to be broken

If you have slow internet, this post may take a while to load, too many pictures. This is going to be the last of the medieval things for awhile. I actually feel like playing my game (shocking!) You’ll find a lot of clutter and some bookcases (which require AL – the only EP with 2 tile bookcases).

I’ll do the bookcases first, there is one with two versions, one will only fit well in a room that is two stories, as the clutter on the top shelf will disappear into the floor above it. The other version has no clutter on top. I haven’t repositoried anything, because I got lazy. Everything has it’s own GUID so you can pick and choose what you would like to put in your game.

These are the other two:

Bookcases done. Have some books:

Yes, most of those books have three sizes, because I like to make more work for myself 😛 I prefer the middle size myself, but I have no idea what everyone else prefers, hence the three sizes – overlarged (which is the original mesh size), medium, or small.

And last of all, random clutter, about 95% of it is from the crafting tables in the previous post, and a few bottles are from one of the bookcases. There is also a message in a bottle, and a snuff box, with a few recolours.

For those of you that play a medieval themed game, I hope this will be of some use to you. I’ve played a bit of TSM, and I enjoy it, but I kept looking at all those new goodies, and thought I had to have them for TS2. Never mind that I don’t play a medieval themed game, and I’ll probably never use these, they were just too cool to pass up. Too cool not too do, and offered enough of a challenge. I’ve also done some bookcases, but they need a bit of tweaking yet.

These are the crafting tables from TSM, where the chirugeons, wizards, and spys make their poisons, potions, tonics and salves. They kind of remind me of the chemistry set from TS.

The down-side is that they’re only decorative. They offer no function, there was nothing I could think to clone them off of. If anyone has suggestions, I’m listening. Also. On the far right side of the mesh (where the cauldron is), there is a bit of clipping, the sims will walk through a bit of the end. I’ve fixed the footprint as much as it will let me, and it still happens, hopefully, it doesn’t bug you too much. Otherwise, put that end along the wall.

Absence = Natural Fact

So . . I don’t really know how to begin this. Suffice it to say that it’s been a busy year, and truthfully, I lost interest. Long story short, last spring we bought a house, and I wanted to decorate it instead of my game. I’m not done decorating, not even close. But how I want to decorate consumes my inspiration and dreaming time, and every time I opened my game full of awesome meshes, it just made me wish I had it for my house and not my game. Am I just delusional or is anyone else like that? So that didn’t help the lack of interest. Enough rambling though, you’re not here for that.

I apologize for the completely uninspired pictures.

Spring is in the air here, for a few days, yay for weather above freezing! So some garden inspired things then. Hopefully you have some use for these things.

First up, I needed these ages ago for a contest. I didn’t have the time for a sim to do the actual gardening. So I quickly extracted all the life stages of the Season’s garden plant and all the veggies and made a deco versions, they’re all mix-and-match, separate plants, separate veggies. I don’t recall what EPs (if any) you’ll need, but I’m almost 100% sure you don’t need Seasons, I would bet they’re base game.

What this all includes is the main big plant, a half grown plant, a sprout, and all the veggies – cucumbers, eggplant, peppers, beans, tomatoes, and strawberries. They’re also repositoried, and labelled.
Also included is a miniature plant and smaller sprout for ATS’s garden greenhouse boxes (as shown in the picture).

I’m not sure that’s useful to anyone, but there it is.

and now some garden landscaping extracts from ts3

Purely decorative, it has no water fountain action. Watering can is from ATS.
And some ‘Scholar’s Rocks’ for your Japanese garden. Please excuse my very non-Japanese garden pictures.

sweetness, sweetness never suits me

I always liked the addition of the kid’s activity table that came with FT, but I’m not about crazy kid friendly shapes in mixed bright colours or distorted mushroom tables. Bring on the solid colours and sharp corners! This simple table is taken from TS3. Now the decor in my sims houses is not thrown all out of whack by ugly kid tables.

I included some recolours, there are more animals, animals with borders, and some solid colours. I thought I had taken pictures of them, but I think I may have deleted them by accident.
Obviously, FT is needed.

A Merry Little Christmas

To those who have requested, and then patiently, ever so patiently waited (thank you for that). Here are the promised goods, with a few odds and ends thrown in.

One problem, I made that Helmer drawer and PS clock so long ago I can no longer remember what EP they require. I’m pretty sure they don’t require Ikea though because I made recolours for them. Which also means the clock is just deco. Why the PS Clock? Because I found the original gargantuan and it works for some places, but not all. So a smaller more manageable version.
You also get a shell from TS3, two piles of mail, wall hooks, a leash, and a lower sweater with no post attached so it looks alright on the hook – you will need the master mesh found here.

I hope you all have a fantastic Christmas (or whatever it is that you celebrate!)

Straying away from the clutter for a moment. But I don’t think you’ll be too disappointed, or at least I hope you won’t be. I extracted these a bit ago, and then ignored them because they needed tweaking. Someone at BPS requested it, and since I had it done already, I offered mine and did the necessary fixing.

These have two working subsets, so you can mix and match to your heart’s content. Some recolours also included, some of the wood textures aren’t shown. Except for two of the stone textures (the first and last), the stone and brick textures are just maxis walls.

And this one still has some issues. Hopefully I’ll get those worked out and repost once I’ve got it fixed. It’s nothing major, but they still have slots – which doesn’t work so well when there is no mantel. There is also two versions, the original, which has a larger base and would probably look best along a wall:

and the second one, has a smaller base – fits the fireplace better I think.

This one is also recolourable, but I haven’t made recolours yet. You can also have both varieties in game. They all should work properly. If you run into any problems let me know, this being my first time cloning/doing anything with fireplaces.

And one more thing, since Christmas is only 3 weeks away, it’s only fitting to have a few stockings to hang by the fireplace.

I’m working on a few things, and the new ep has definitely made my ‘to do list’ much longer. There are some new pretties I must have for my game. So while I’m working on those and tweaking some of my old meshes, I’m throwing some books at you. They’re from the bibliobookcase, and are slaved to it (it’s base game). I warn you, the textures are horrendous. Seriously ugly work done by Maxis. So make sure you pick up these amazing recolours by Plasticbox (if you don’t already have them), or the books are not worthwhile at all.

There are 7 meshes, the breakdown: top row left, is set 5, right 4, middle left 7, right 3, bottom left 1,2 and right 6.

These are actually functioning bookcases, come in basegame or FT/AL variety. The FT/AL variety may work with lesser EP’s but I can’t guarantee it, they are cloned off of the base game and have their Object data altered to work with FT/AL.

I don’t have much to say about this update, other than these were some things that caught my eye, and now you get them.

The suitcases are slaved, you’ll need the pile of three in order for the other two meshes to work.

Unfortunately the telescope is for decoration only. I tried to clone it from the actual telescope, but it would cause sims to jump back away from it. Due I think to missing animations, but that is at the moment beyond me, perhaps one day . . .

I’m slowly working on the clock from this set as well, but when I export meshes the best I get is a bumpmap, and every now and then (say plants for example) I get a texture, but not usually. So the gears and pendulum are missing and I’m not fantastic at doing some textures from scratch – especially steampunk.

it’s too late for that

More conversions for you . . . 😀
Unfortunately I’m a week too late for the Canadian Thanksgiving with this (I apologize to my fellow Canadians), but perhaps you can use this for Halloween and the US Thanksgiving. At least it’s somewhat fall-ish. I’m not a huge ‘theme’ player, my sims never celebrate Thanksgiving, Christmas or Easter. I’m too lazy to redecorate my houses to suit those occasions. But I’m also more of a decorator/builder then player. But perhaps they’ll come in handy for contests and for those of you that do celebrate holidays in your game.

I decided not to slave any of these items, as the items most likely to stay in your game would require the more fallish items, because I’m not sure I could repository them the other way around. So hopefully you don’t mind too much!

I really liked that pumpkin garland, but I can’t see myself using it overly much with pumpkins, so I made another version with just the leaves, and now I see more possibilities for it 😀

My apologizes on the last picture, I just did that to illustrate how the garland could be used.
The cage is by Nanu@TSR, the paintings are from Kara’s Watching Society, recolours are by Mangnoliae and the Shells are mine, the white one I haven’t released yet, perhaps soon, but the other grouping can be found on TSR, but maybe I should move some of that over here . . . I suppose I should have been more clear, sorry for any confusion!
